My Winter Walking Challenge has come to an end aft

My Winter Walking Challenge has come to an end after 113 days. It was an exhilarating experience. I made a commitment to myself that not only benefited me physically but mentally too. It boosted my energy and my mood during the winter season. I no longer dislike walking in winter. Though I still don’t like the cold or putting layers of clothes on.

The beautiful thing about this last walk of my challenge was seeing and hearing the geese and other birds chirping and flying around for the first time in a long time. I think they knew something—that Spring is in the air!!

The first time I challenged myself to walk every day was back in December 2022 when I joined 100 Strong and Sexy (SAS) for Cycle 14, a health, wellness and lifestyle organization. I joined their 100-day walking challenge. I went out every day despite the weather conditions from December to March. I documented my challenge on my website, Women Rising Above, i.e. 100 SAS Cycle 14 (see bio for link). So, for the last cycle of SAS, Cycle 20, I wanted to end my participation in this group with another 100-day walking challenge. I also documented this challenge and will post on my website soon.
