Empowering Women to Make Changes

Making changes in one’s life can be difficult; as I know from personal experience. Five and a half years ago when I retired, I was seeking answers and guidance on what to do next in my life; I was retired but not tired. I recalled a women’s organization that I attended many years ago with respect to career counseling called the Women’s Centre of York Region (WCYR). I visited WCYR again in 2018 and discovered a Making Changes program. I initially joined to figure out whether to volunteer, get a part-time job, or enroll in continuing education. I was so impressed by their in-depth program and how it made such a difference in my life, in my growth as a person, and in my self-esteem that I became a Certified Life Skills Coach through George Brown College. I am assisting, at the moment, with WCYR’s Making Changes Program as an assistant to the facilitator. I am continuing to learn, grow, and empower not only myself but other women who are seeking awareness and change.

Currently, I am enrolled with the Coaching Institute to be certified as an Activation Method Coach (for more information see Activation Method Coaching). Once certified, I will develop my own coaching program to help guide, inspire, and empower women who want to make changes in their lives. Stay tuned.
